ISSUE 9 - OUT NOW
When it comes to finding the finest content, Swipe magazine trawls the App Store so you don’t have to. In issue 9 – which has been completely redesigned – Gameloft’s Asphalt 8: Airborne slipstreams its way to the front of the reviews section, with Infinity Blade III, 868-HACK, Blackbar, Angry Birds Star Wars II, Pivvot and many more also lining up on the grid.
It’s not just about the latest previews and reviews, of course. Every issue aims to point you in the direction of content you should be experiencing on your iOS device, and that’s where our features come in. This month, for instance, we round up what we consider to be the 25 best free iPad games of the moment, as well as list 15 excellent iOS 7 features you might have missed, and still get a quick chat with Gameloft about rolling out its latest racing ace onto the App Store.
What else do we pack into each issue of Swipe magazine? Glad you asked. There are a number of regulars, naturally, so you should expect a selection of recommended apps, game walkthroughs, video trailers, expert opinion, and even our now-infamous iFun game! By the time we’re finished, we’ve usually covered over 70 games and apps that should be on your radar – which should keep you going until next issue.
This magazine must surely be the future for digital publication, it really lives up to the potential which is so lacking in the newsstand. WIRED’s digital edition seemed cool… but this relegates it instantly to a distant second. I am so impressed guys, well done.

Amazing content and the interactivity is wonderful! More issues please.

Swipe gets it right, the balance of interactivity and information is well balanced and thought out. Engaging without being overwhelming. The subtle animations are barely noticeable in some cases at first glance, but then become welcome enhancements to the overall look and feel of the magazine. My only advice to the crew is to ‘go deeper’ and distance yourself further from the pack!
